November 4 Diane went to New York primarily to be with her son, Latseen, as he hand-cycled the New York City Marathon. Latseen finished first for his Achilles Team, and 18th overalll in a field of six dozen cyclists. Diane is shown here with Latseen and his wife, Jessica just after the race. |

November 5 While on the way to meet with NY Democratic State Senator Bill Perkins, Diane paused for a picture in front of the Apollo Theatre on 125th Steet in Harlem. With her is Paul Brown, former producing director for the Alaska Repertory Theatre and now active in Progressive Democratic politics. |

November 7 Diane's first stop in Washington, DC was a visit tyo the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. She received a tour of the brand new Military Advanced Training Center (MATC) from a very gracious Colonel Cooper. Diane had planned to visit wounded Alaska warriors but luckily, there were none there that day. |

November 8 Diane catches up on phone calls after her meeting with representatives from Emily's List. On the wall are photos of noted women politicians supported by Emily's List. |

November 8 Diane was quite pleased to meet with Democratic Congressman Mike Honda at his Capitol Hill office. They shared a thoughtful discussion and some good, strong coffee. |

November 8 While in DC, Diane attended a fundraiser held for her by DC Shadow Congressman Michael Brown. Diane spoke with supporters at Mike's home. In addition to politics, both share an avid interest in motorcycles. |

November 10 Diane and Latseen marched in the parade in DC for the 25th Anniversary of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Latseen's dad, Tony Vita, is a member of the Anchorage VVA Camp 904. Diane is shown here with Latseen and VVA members at the start of the parade. |
